Touch is sacred—each massage is an opportunity to release layers of tension, limitation, and habit. Each massage is an opportunity to feel more wonderfully alive, with greater freedom of movement and a refreshing sense of awareness and wholeness. When the session is complete, my clients are often smiling from the inside out. This happiness and healing inspires my work.
I enjoy working as the hands-on part of your health care team to support healing. Long experience and superb education have given me the ability to work effectively and respectfully with people seeking help for physical and emotional issues. I integrate well-developed hands-on, cognitive and intuitive skills to support the therapeutic outcome each client expects. My principle tools come from Swedish and Myofascial Massage, Body-Mind Centering, CranioSacral Therapy, and a solid foundation in anatomy, physiology and pathology.
Workshops for Massage Therapists
YOGA MOVES for MTs , 1 and 2, at Moving Into Wholeness in Carrboro. Details on Yoga page.
Massage Therapists learn simple, effective stretches and strengthening moves based on yoga and Body-Mind Centering. We learn client-centered moves to do at home for more lasting results from massage sessions, and self-care moves to stretch out effectively, relax and open hard-working areas, and prevent injury. Receive CEUs for this class from Body Therapy Institute, where I’ve been teaching A&P for 14 years (www.massage.net).
